TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS AMONG THE UNIVESITY STUDENTS.
GoogleIn this world everyone loves to be loved and above all love conquers everything. When i say this i mean that one can do everything just for love but what people Forget is that every relationship has its owne roughness and when it becomes more rough,this may be the time to evaluate.
In a toxic relationship, both parties develop unhealthy behaviors and treat each other disrespectfully. One partner in the relationship can engage in a more toxic behavior thus removing the life and joy out of it.
Toxic relationship have become very rampant among the university students. We have had many cases of the students killing each other just because of love and unhealthy behaviors. Some of this behavior include: feeling unsutisfied by one partner or even feeling so possessive. A good example is that one of Ivy Wangeshi who was a student and she was killed by her boyfriend Naftali Kinuthia using an axe and a knife due to allegations that he suspected that Ivy was playing him with another man.
How can you know you are going under toxic relationship?
1. If you're passive aggressive.
When you often act mad at your partner while reffusing to tell them why you are upset or you give them a silent treatment. This may make your partner to feel like you don't care about them thus leading to luck of trust.
2.you intentionally play with your partner's feelings by trying to make them jealous.
You don't need to test someone's feeling but instead you should establish your relationship strongly so as to avoid harming your trust.
3 . You withhold affection or complements.
This is by making your partner being exactly the way you want them to be rather than being themselves. This can create a toxic atmosphere for both parties
How to move forward
1.Going to therapist
Going to the therapist can be a great way to understand past relationship
Pattern. It's good to learn from the past behavior so us to understand the feature.
2. Focus on self care. Caring for your mind body and heart can help you address and eliminate problems. This heals the wounds and nourishes the needs you are attempting to fill through unhealthy behavior.
3. Feeling empathy.
In this you should let your partner to be who they are and not put so much expectations in them. They are human and sometimes they may fell.
